Bird obstetric suction cup is used if there is a significant decrease in the baby’s heart rate at the end of labor and if it continues for a long time, to deliver the baby without wasting time due to this dangerous situation; or it is used to shorten the second stage of labor.

- The product has a hand pump that makes vacuum and a head (looks like a bell) thatapplies vacuum, made of plastic and have a diameter of 5 cm, and a pull cord that connect made of steel and connect these two to each other.
- There is an indicator that shows the pressure applied on head. This indicator has green and red lines to warn the user about the pressure applied.
- The traction force indicator which permits the operator to view and control the amount of traction that is being exerted on the fetal scalp.
